In September of 2018 [+more] the Oktoberfest Triathlon renamed our collegiate team competition the Zarzur Cup, in honor of Alessandro Zarzur who passed away in May at 19 years of age.  Alessandro was a member of the CU Triathlon Team.

FAZ, a non-profit based in Sao Paulo, was created in his memory with the focus on holistic education, and the goal of empowering attendees so that they can become productive members of society, respetful of their differences and aware of their rights and duties in society.  To learn more and support thier mission please visit www.Fazbr.org
